Impact & Reach

We don't just give aid.
We sustain.

All our programs start with community consultation. We partner with local leaders, schools and health centers, train local people to manage projects, and build systems communities can maintain long after we leave.

The Need

Why this work cannot wait.

The numbers behind rural Cameroon's maternal and child health gap, and the everyday realities they represent.

About our work
690Maternal deaths per 100,000 live births in Cameroon
60Under-five deaths per 1,000 live births
70%Of rural health facilities have no electricity connection
<70Maternal deaths per 100,000: the WHO target we are working toward

In the communities we serve

  • Children drop out of school for want of books and support
  • Women and girls walk miles for water that is not safe to drink
  • Preventable disease spreads because hygiene infrastructure is missing
  • Mothers give birth without prenatal care, light or refrigerated medicines
  • Youth and women have no route to self-employment

Programs

What we do.

Four core programs for women, children, youth, rural farmers and internally displaced families in the Centre, Far North and North-West Regions of Cameroon, with practical, low-cost, high-impact solutions that move families from aid to self-reliance.

Talk to us
When mothers are educated on prenatal care, nutrition and family health, they become health leaders in their households. A healthy mother can farm, trade and care for her family, and her children stay in school. Voices from the Field

What the work changes.

Before the solar installation we delivered babies by torchlight and phone screens. Now the labour room has light every night, and our vaccines stay cold.
Health centre staffIntegrated Health Centre, Bui Division
The bike ambulance means a woman in obstructed labour reaches Ndu in under an hour. Before, families waited for a vehicle that often never came.

We were taught how to spot danger signs in pregnancy and when to refer. Now mothers come to us early instead of waiting until it is an emergency.
